Overview
This clamshell soft shell rooftop tent is a narrow, wedge-style tent built for one or two adults, with room for a third person when needed. It opens along one edge and lifts into a stable, wind-shedding shape, giving you full sitting height at the head end while keeping the footprint compact on the roof. A 30 mm foam mattress, aluminum frame, and rip-stop polyester fabric make it a simple, durable sleeping solution for smaller vehicles.
Three-season clamshell design
By your internal classification, this soft shell tent is a three-season model, intended for spring, summer, and autumn. The outer cover uses 1680D polyester with a PU coating, which protects the tent while it’s closed and traveling. The main tent fabric is 420D polyester rip-stop, rated waterproof to 3500 mm and treated for UV and mold resistance, so it handles sustained rain and strong sun when properly maintained.
The clamshell geometry means fewer poles and fewer moving parts than a traditional side-fold soft shell, which keeps setup straightforward and helps the tent resist wind when the head end is pitched toward the breeze.

Construction and access
The tent is built around an aluminum frame and mounts to a standard roof rack or crossbars. Access is via an aluminum anodized telescopic ladder, which adjusts to your vehicle height and packs with the tent. The clamshell lid is supported by the frame when open; when closed, the 1680D cover wraps around and protects the fabric and mattress from weather and road grime.
All installation parts are included from the manufacturer, and the package ships in a low, flat carton to simplify handling during installation.
Optional accessories listed by the supplier include a LED light strip (1.5 m), an anti-condensation mat, and shoe bags, which extend the basic kit without changing the main structure of the tent.
