Limited 1-Year Warranty
rooftoptents.ca warrants that its rooftop tents are free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase.
If a product is found to be defective due to manufacturing faults or material defects within this period, rooftoptents.ca will, at its discretion, repair or replace the defective component at no charge. This warranty applies to the original purchaser only and is non-transferable.
To initiate a warranty claim, please contact us at info@rooftoptents.ca and include your original order number along with a clear description of the issue and supporting photos where applicable. Cooperation during the claims process is required. Warranty service must be processed directly through rooftoptents.ca or an authorized dealer.
Products returned for inspection must be shipped freight prepaid to a pre-approved return address. Items sent without prior authorization may be refused. Once the product is received and inspected, we will notify you within a reasonable timeframe whether the claim is approved under warranty coverage.
rooftoptents.ca reserves the right to determine whether a product will be repaired, replaced, or refunded based on the nature of the defect and product availability.
Limitations of Liability
Any implied warranties, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the duration of this one-year limited warranty.
rooftoptents.ca shall not be responsible for incidental or consequential damages including, but not limited to, loss of time, travel expenses, lodging, towing, fuel costs, inconvenience, property damage, or loss of income.
Some provinces or jurisdictions may not allow limitations on implied warranties or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages. In such cases, certain limitations may not apply. This warranty provides specific legal rights, and additional rights may vary by province or territory.
What Is Not Covered
This limited warranty does not cover:
• Damage caused by misuse, neglect, improper installation, or improper storage
• Cosmetic changes such as fading, discoloration, or minor fabric wear
• Damage caused by extreme weather, animal activity, accidents, or acts of nature
• Normal wear and tear including UV degradation, worn zippers, seals, or fabric aging
• Mold or mildew resulting from improper storage or failure to dry the tent
Condensation Notice
Condensation can naturally occur inside a closed rooftop tent due to temperature fluctuations. Freeze–thaw cycles and humidity can create moisture buildup even when the tent is not in use. To prevent mold or mildew, we recommend opening and airing out your tent every 1–2 weeks, and more frequently in humid climates.
What We Will Do
If inspection confirms a manufacturing defect covered under this warranty, rooftoptents.ca will repair or replace the affected component at no cost to the original purchaser. In certain cases, replacement parts may be supplied for customer installation where appropriate.
How to Obtain Warranty Service
To obtain warranty service:
- Email info@rooftoptents.ca with your order number and details of the issue.
- Wait for return authorization and shipping instructions.
- Ship the product freight prepaid to the approved address.
Shipments sent without authorization or sent collect cannot be accepted.
